Your first visit

Your first visit with us will take approximately an hour.  You will meet with one of our excellent therapists and discuss concerns you may have.  The therapist will then meet with your child and a variety of assessment tools may be administered.  This is usually in interview format and will be casual.  Your child can choose where they will be comfortable and can even play during the assessment in most cases!  

After the assessment, the therapist will discuss treatment options for your child.  In some cases, additional information may be required from other sources such as your child's caregivers, etc.  Sometimes the same day, you may be notified whether or not your child will be admitted to our day treatment Therapeutic Preschool Program.  If additional testing or information gathering is required, it may be several days before an admission determination will be available.  We are here to help you and answer any questions or concerns you may have along the way.  Our goal is to partner with you to help see your child succeed!
